Kawasaki has debuted a sketch of a supercharged concept motorcycle at the Tokyo Motor Show, calling it the Concept SC-01, described as the ‘Spirit Charger’.
Kawasaki has unveiled both new supercharger technology and what the Japanese manufacturer calls the “Rideology strategy” which will continue to guide future product development. The company describes the Spirit Charger as a machine “suitable for all day, long distance enjoyment and comfort.”
The Concept SC-01, or Spirit Charger represents the future of forced induction motorcycle development at Kawasaki and can be considered as a descendant of the Ninja H2 and H2R, which debuted at last year’s motor show in Tokyo.
The Spirit Charger concept incorporates a Balanced Supercharged Engine, with electronically controlled flaps at the supercharger entrance allowing the volume of intake air and airflow direction to be adjusted for increased efficiency.
