Despite the recent reduction in CENVAT and the excise duty benefit of 4 per cent, which was passed entirely to the customer, a current increase in price has come to being due to the fact that in the last three months the Rupee/Dollar exchange rate has increased by 20 per cent in the last three months.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor officials have stated that they have done their best to reduce the burden on the customer and have tried to absorb a certain amount of this increase internally.The price increase for the two models is in the following range:
Toyota Innova - Rs 10,000 to 25,000
Toyota Corolla Altis - Rs.16,000 to 25,000
