We got a chance to ride the Rizta recently, and here’s what we think about it…

Simple & boxy design – 4 dual-tone & 7 single-tone colours

All-LED lighting with a slim rectangular headlight & sleek LED tail light

Performance isn’t as thrilling as the 450X, but is suitable for everyday commutes

2 riding modes: Smart Eco & Zip – Smart Eco mode has 50kmph top speed, struggles to climb inclines

Should deliver about 70-80kmph range in Zip mode & 90-100km in a mix of Zip & Smart Eco mode

7-inch TFT display (on the Z variant) is controlled by a joystick on the left side of the switchgear

Generous 34-litre boot space with optional 22-litre front storage = plenty of space! Even the floorboard is also very spacious

Magic Twist feature starts regen braking as soon as you roll off the throttle in the opposite direction

Ather SkidControl feature resists wheelspin on slippery surfaces

Handles well & changes directions quickly

Soft suspension setup effortlessly absorbs bumps & potholes well, but sharp bumps can still be felt

Strong brakes – 200mm front disc & 130mm drum efficiently stop the scooter

Spacious & well-padded seat keeps both rider & pillion comfortable

A practical family e-scooter & a good option for someone looking to upgrade from a petrol scooter to an EV

Rivals other electric scooters like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro and Vida V1 Pro
