Mercedes-Benz India sustained its high sales curve and started 2011 with record sales performance. The company registered an extraordinary sale of 640 units in the month of January 2011. The key growth drivers in January 2011 were the C–Class with 265 units (January 2010=131units), E-Class with 252 units (January 2010= 245 units), the S-Class with 46 units (January 2010= 23 units) as well as the SUV range comprising the M-Class, GL-Class and the R-Class with 67 units (January 2010= 3 units).
Mr. Peter T Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented, “2010 was an exciting year for us. While the market grew at 60% Year on Year, we at Mercedes-Benz India managed a growth of 80%. This clearly shows that, our exhilarating products, strong brand footing and ownership experience continues to be highly appreciated by our customers”.
This year Mercedes-Benz will be celebrating 125 years of their existence, which will go on across different platform throughout the year. We believe that Mercedes Benz India Limited will continue to grow by leaps and bounds in the coming months as well.
