Tata Punch EV announced as official car for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, following last year's Tiago EV.
The Punch EV was also the official car for Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024.
In the previous editions, Tata also announced promotional activities for fans in the cricket tournament.
The Punch EV is offered with two battery pack options, with the larger 35 kWh battery pack capable of a claimed range of 421 km.
The Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the most watched cricket tournaments globally, is set to begin today. And ahead of the tournament kickoff, which sees Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Tata Motors has announced the recently launched Punch EV as the official car for the 2024 IPL season.

Tata previously announced the Punch EV as the official car for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024. Additionally, the 2024 edition of the tournament marks the third consecutive year for the Indian marque as the IPL title sponsor. Starting its sponsorship journey with the IPL in 2018, Tata has also featured other models such as the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari as the official cars for the tournament.

In previous tournaments, Tata has also hosted contests for fans to win sponsor cars and presents the 'Electric Striker' award to players. Additionally, when a player hits the official car placed beyond the boundary, Tata contributes to the society for a good cause. For instance, recently, when RCB women's player Ellyse Perry hit the glass of the Punch EV, the carmaker donated Rs 5 lakh towards the installation of solar panels at Tata Memorial Hospital, Kolkata.
