Indian Filmmaker R Balakrishnan Brings Home A Brand New Mercedes-Benz GLE

The filmmaker has joined the list of bollywood celebrities who have got home a Mercedes-Benz in recent times

From directing stars to owning a star! R Balakrishnan, popularly known as R Balki has brought home a spanking new Mercedes-Benz GLE in an Obsidian Black colour. In recent times, we have seen many bollywood celebrities and sports stars who have purchased a Mercedes-Benz, the popular filmmaker and screenwriter joins this list. 

Let’s take a look at his new ride and what it packs!

The filmmaker has got himself the entry-level Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d. It must be noted that the GLE is also available in two higher-end variants: GLE 450 and GLE 450d. What remains to be seen is what colour option the film director has gone for the interior as it’s tough to discern from the image. For reference, the GLE packs the following interior colour options: beige, black and brown. 

Apart from the Obsidian Black, the GLE is also available in Polar White, Selenite Grey, High-Tech Silver, and Sodalite Blue.  

Mercedes-Benz GLE

The GLE stands as Mercedes’ 5-seater luxury SUV, available with 3 engine options. R Balki’s GLE is the GLE 300d 4MATIC which comes with a 2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 269 PS and 550 Nm. Drive is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Benz GLE

R Balki started his career in advertising, where he orchestrated many famous ad campaigns such as “Daag Achche Hai” and a campaign for Surf Excel. Later, he transitioned into filmmaking and screenwriting. He has directed many successful films such as “Paa”, “Cheeni Kum” and “Padman”. 

Mercedes-Benz GLE

The Mercedes-Benz GLE is priced from Rs 96.65 lakh to Rs 1.15 cr (ex-showroom). The GLE locks horns with the BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90.
