The brand exports the Indian manufactured Activa range and 18 more models to 35 different markets

Honda India has announced a new vertical for its business expansion in the foreign market. The brand commenced export service with the Activa back in 2001 and crossed the million unit milestone in 2015. Now, the new structure is aimed at making India a global hub for Honda’s export business.

Honda India exports its two-wheelers in 35 different markets including Europe, Central and Latin America, Middle East, South East Asia, Japan, and the SAARC nations. The export lineup consists of 19 models that fulfil country-specific homologation and other norms.

The new operations take place at Honda’s Manesar-based plant with the sales, engineering, development, purchasing, and quality being looked after under the same roof. According to SIAM reports (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), Honda India exports the H’Ness CB350, Honda Shine, and Unicorn alongside other motorcycles and scooters. The list will soon include the CB350RS as well.

In a related development, Honda is working in conjunction with Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha to develop mutually shared swappable batteries for their upcoming electric vehicles. You can head here to read the full story.
