Unfortunately, not all models will make the 2021 cut

Triumph’s Bonneville family has as many as 10 motorcycles, each offering an authentic British experience. From the Thruxton and Bonneville Bobber to the Street Scrambler and Scrambler 1200, the brand’s modern classic range has something for everyone. Now, the British marque has released a teaser announcing the 2021 Bonneville range will be unveiled on February 23.

Interestingly, the teaser has only five motorcycles: the Street Twin, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120, Bobber, and Speedmaster. The Speed Twin, Thruxton and the Scrambler range have been excluded for now, but might be announced later this year. While Triumph India has pulled the plug on these motorcycles here due to lacklustre sales, it is difficult to comprehend why the brand would not include a great bike like the Scrambler 1200 XC in its portfolio.

So, what will the update entail? Triumph is likely to make a few minor changes along with the cleaner engine. The 2021 range may also get aesthetic updates in the form of new paint schemes. Whereas, the 1200cc range is likely to get cruise control as standard. As for the performance, it would be interesting to see if Triumph manages to retain or even extract more power from the new engines.

Triumph launched the Tiger 850 Sport in India yesterday, and its most affordable offering, the Trident 660, is due for a launch soon. We expect the 2021 Bonneville range to grace our shores by June and going by Triumph’s pricing strategy for the BS6 models, the hike may not be much.
