Triumph India is all set to launch the Black editions of the Bonneville T100 and the Bonneville T120 tomorrow. The British bikemaker has already teased the two bikes’ arrival on its social media channels. Expect the Bonneville T100 Black Edition to retail at around Rs 8.90 lakh and the Black Edition of the Bonneville T120 at around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom India).
The two special edition motorcycles live true to their name, with their completely blacked out design. The brushed metal finishes on the powertrain and the chrome highlights on the bodywork are replaced by blacked out elements. Even the peashooter exhausts and the rear view mirrors have received the blacked out treatment. While the Bonneville T120 features a premium stitched dark brown seat, the T100 Black Edition makes do with a standard black seat. Apart from these cosmetic changes, the bikes are identical to their respective standard variants in terms of mechanicals.

Powering the Bonneville T100 Black Edition is a 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor, which makes 55PS and 76.7Nm. On the other hand, the Bonneville T120 employs a bigger 1,200cc parallel twin liquid-cooled, engine churning out 80PS and 105Nm. Both bikes comply with BS6 emission norms.
Electronic nannies include dual-channel ABS and switchable traction control as standard on both the bikes. The T100 misses out on rider modes whereas the T120 gets Road and Rain riding modes. There are no natural rivals for the bigger Bonneville T120 at the moment but for the T100, the Kawasaki W800 comes pretty close.
