The 2021 KTM RC 390 has been spotted in all its glory, hinting at its imminent official launch. From the blurry pic that seems to have been taken at the factory or a dealer yard, the bike looks production-ready.
New Looks
Designers have given the new RC 390 an extensive makeover. While the outgoing model looked sharp and sporty, the 2021 bike appears a bit conservative and docile. KTM has also altered the position of the LED DRLs and given the latest iteration a new 390 Duke-esque headlight.
The tank design has also been refreshed (with extra capacity) and so has the fairing design. On the ergonomics front, the 2021 RC 390 seems a tad more accommodating and comfortable without losing the essence of a supersports. The pillion seat also appears more spacious than the one on the previous-generation model. The exhaust canister and its shield have also been reworked for better ground clearance.

Mechanical Changes
Expect KTM to plonk in the same liquid-cooled 373.5cc engine with performance figures rated at 43.5PS and 36Nm. It’ll be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
While the 2021 KTM RC 390 is sprung on the same suspension setup, it now gets a new bolt-on subframe. Braking hardware comprises a larger front disc and the same rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
Sporting the brand’s signature colour, the 2021 KTM RC 390 is now even more orange. However, the rims have been painted in black just like the chassis.
Hoping For Bonus
We expect the upcoming KTM bike to feature a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, it will be interesting to see whether KTM introduces ride modes on the 2021 RC 390, similar to the TVS Apache RR 310.
Expect the 2021 KTM RC 390 to be priced around Rs 2.75 lakh and rival the TVS Apache RR 310 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
