December is a cooler month not only temperature wise, but also in terms of vehicle sales. With the festive (buying) season over, buyers waiting for the new year and with it fresh updates – volumes naturally dip.
1. Kawasaki Z900: 62 Units

62 units of the Kawasaki Z900 in December may be lower than previous months, but it still remains an undisputed king. This Kawasaki bike continues to be the go-to choice for riders upgrading to their first serious big bike. That muscular stance, inline-four scream, and aggressive pricing keep it firmly planted at the top. It’s fast without being frightening, premium without being unattainable – a formula that keeps working month after month.
2. Suzuki Hayabusa: 41 Units

Legends don’t care about seasons, and with 41 units sold, the Suzuki Hayabusa proves that its appeal goes far beyond monthly trends. Suzuki’s ‘Busa remains the ultimate symbol of speed and street credibility in India. It’s heavy, it’s outrageous, and it’s still brutally fast – exactly why buyers continue to sign cheques for it even in a slow sales month. Few motorcycles carry this kind of aura, and fewer still age this well.
3. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: 31 Units

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is still holding its ground as one of the last 600cc inline four supersports standing. 31 units in December show that there’s still a loyal group of riders who want a proper track-focused machine. High-revving, sharp, and demanding, the ZX-6R isn’t built for comfort or compromise. It’s built for riders who measure fun in RPM and corner speed – and that crowd clearly still exists.
4. Triumph Speed Twin 900 & 1200: 12 Units

The Speed Twin…twins quietly slip into fourth place with 12 units combined. With their retro-modern styling, torque-rich nature, and British charm – the Triumph Speed Twin 900 and Triumph Speed Twin 1200 attract riders looking for character. In a market dominated by Japanese performance machines; this Brit’s modern classics continue to hold a niche that values feel, finesse, and timeless design.
5. Triumph Daytona 660: 11 Units

Rounding off the list is the second (technically third…and that too a triple) Triumph: the Daytona 660 with 11 units sold. Its triple-cylinder engine, sporty intent, and everyday usability make it a refreshing alternative in the middleweight sport-tourer segment. Controversial naming aside, the Triumph Daytona 660 is still finding its audience – and clearly there is one.
