Monster Key Highlights

Price: The 2026 Ducati Monster was launched in India on August 10, 2026. It costs Rs 13,99,000 for the Ducati Red colour, Rs 14,23,000 for Iceberg White shade, and Rs 14,23,000 for the Sport Livery. The Monster Plus variant retails at Rs 14,34,000, Rs 14,45,000, and Rs 14,45,000 for the same three colours respectively. All prices are ex-showroom pan-India.

Design: The 2026 Ducati Monster V2 retains the iconic Monster silhouette while blending its heritage with a modern design. It gets a muscular fuel tank with air vents inspired by earlier-generation Monsters, a compact LED headlight with Ducati's signature double C-shaped DRLs, a short tail section, and minimalist bodywork that keeps the engine exposed. The textured side panels improve rider grip under braking, while the Sport version gets Racing Red wheels and red accents for a more aggressive look.

Features: The Monster V2 comes with a 5-inch full-colour TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity and optional turn-by-turn navigation via the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). It also gets Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, four riding modes (Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet), four power modes (High, Medium, City, and Low), cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control as standard. Although, you can get cruise control, heated grips, TPMS, and a USB as optional accessories. Also note that the DMS is an optional fitment.

Engine: The Monster V2 is powered by Ducati's new 890cc, liquid-cooled, 90-degree V2 engine with Intake Variable Timing (IVT), producing 111PS and 91.1Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 and a hydraulically operated slipper clutch for smoother gear changes. Combined with its lighter weight, the new engine is expected to deliver strong performance in both city riding and on highways.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: Built around Ducati's lightweight aluminium front frame, the Monster V2 weighs just 175kg (without fuel). It gets premium suspension along with twin front disc brakes with Brembo calipers and a rear disc brake, backed by Bosch Cornering ABS.

Rivals: The 2026 Ducati Monster rivals the KTM 890 Duke R, Triumph Street Triple RS, and the Kawasaki Z900 in the premium middleweight naked motorcycle segment.
