Uses the new 350cc motor
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the all-new Tracker 400 in India. Priced at Rs 2,46,225 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is Rs 14,335 more expensive than the Speed 400. The Tracker 400 is positioned more as a niche, lifestyle-oriented offering, and it brings a unique flat-track-inspired design to the brand’s growing entry-level portfolio. It sits between the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X, offering a more distinctive and style-focused alternative.
Design and Styling
The Triumph Tracker 400 stands out with its flat-track racing-inspired design. While it borrows some visual cues from the Scrambler 400 X, such as the twin-port exhaust, its overall proportions and stance are derived from the Speed 400 platform. The bike features a minimalistic and clean look, highlighted by a flat, elongated seat, compact fuel tank, and a tight, upswept tail section.
Other design elements include a round LED headlamp, sleek side panels, a sporty seat cowl, and a high-mounted exhaust similar to the Scrambler. The overall styling gives it a factory-built custom motorcycle feel, making it one of the most visually distinctive bikes in its segment.

Engine and Performance
Powering the Tracker 400 is the new 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which will now be found in all of the Triumph 400s. It makes 40PS and 32Nm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets a slip-and-assist clutch for smoother gear shifts.
The engine is expected to deliver strong mid-range performance along with refined power delivery, staying true to Triumph’s reputation.
Features
In terms of features, the Tracker 350 keeps things simple yet modern. It comes equipped with full-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster same as in other Triumph 400s, a switchable traction control, and dual-channel ABS. However, like its siblings, it misses out on smartphone connectivity, which some riders might find limiting.

Underpinnings and Hardware
The Tracker 400 shares its core hardware with the Speed 400. It gets a steel tubular frame, a USD fork, and a rear monoshock with identical wheel travel. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, wrapped in block-pattern tyres, giving it a mild dual-purpose appearance without compromising too much on-road performance.
ZigSays
The new Triumph Tracker 400 is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who value design and individuality over outright practicality. While it may not be as versatile as a scrambler or as straightforward as a roadster, its factory-custom styling and engaging performance should make it appealing in its own way.
That said, its niche positioning could limit its mass appeal in India, where buyers often prefer more practical motorcycles. Still, for someone looking to stand out, the Tracker 400 offers a refreshing alternative.
