The Yamaha R15 V4, with prices starting at Rs 1,66,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi), is positioned as the brand’s entry-level supersport. The R15 continues to be one of the most track-focused motorcycles in its class. Let’s take a detailed look at the R15 in these detailed images:
The R15 continues with its aggressive supersport styling inspired by Yamaha’s larger R-series motorcycles. Up front, the bike features a central LED projector headlight placed within a sculpted ram-air intake-style fairing, giving it a sharp and race-bred appearance.

The fairing is heavily contoured with deep cuts and creases that also aid the bike’s aerodynamics. The sleek LED DRLs sit on the fairing’s edges and form a distinctive light signature, immediately recognisable as part of Yamaha’s global R design language.
From the side, the R15 showcases its quintessential supersport proportions with a sharply rising tail section and an aggressive stance. The clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs further amplify the bike’s committed riding ergonomics. The split-seat setup flows neatly into the upswept tail, while the exposed aluminium swingarm and sporty alloy wheels complete the race-inspired profile.

The rear design of the R15 remains minimalistic and sharply styled. The slim LED taillight sits neatly integrated into the pointed tail section.

A compact rear fender and upswept exhaust maintain the clean look, while the wide rear tyre and muscular swingarm add visual heft. Overall, the rear continues the R15’s signature race-replica appeal with a tight, aggressive finish.

The R15 comes equipped with an LCD instrument console, while the R15M gets a TFT instrument console. The display shows essential information, including speed, gear position, tachometer, fuel level, trip meters and real-time fuel efficiency.

Depending on the variant, the console also supports smartphone connectivity, allowing riders to access call and notification alerts. The interface features a sporty layout with clear graphics designed for easy readability during aggressive riding.
The TFT console also integrates indicators for traction control and quickshifter, giving the rider comprehensive performance data at a glance.

The R15 continues to be one of the most feature-rich motorcycles in its segment. It offers dual-channel ABS, traction control, a bidirectional quickshifter (variant-dependent), and an assist and slipper clutch.
Other equipment includes LED lighting all around and a side-stand engine cut-off.

The R15 is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine featuring Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. It is the same engine which we also see in the MT-15 V2.0 and the XSR155. The motor is tuned to deliver strong top-end performance while retaining tractable low-speed usability.

The Yamaha R15 continues to uphold its reputation as the most track-oriented motorcycle in the entry-level supersport segment. Yamaha has refined the styling, electronics and rider aids over the years to keep the motorcycle feeling premium and performance-focused. For enthusiasts looking for a small-capacity sportbike with genuine racing DNA, the R15 still remains a benchmark choice.
