Ola Electric has showcased the Gig electric scooter at the Auto Expo 2025. Starting at Rs 39,999 (ex-showroom), the electric scooter was launched back in November 2024, along with the Ola S1Z e-scooter.

Price & Rivals:

The Ola Gig e-scooter comes in two variants: standard and Gig+. The standard Gig is a slow-speed electric scooter and is available at an on-road price of Rs 39,999. Whereas the Gig+ is a high-speed scooter which is priced at Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom).

With deliveries starting in April 2025. The Ola Gig electric scooter rivals the other entry-level electric scooters in the market including, the Komaki X One and Avon E Scoot 504.

Motor, Battery & Range:

The standard Ola Gig is a barebones e-scooter with no body panels and no instrument console, it just gets a single seat with a storage rack. It gets a 250W electric motor that provides a top speed of 25kmph. It gets a removable 1.5kWh battery pack that delivers a certified range of 112km per charge.

The Gig+ features front panels, an LCD screen, and a single seat with a storage rack at the rear. The electric scooter is equipped with a 1.5kW electric motor which provides a claimed top speed of 45kmph. The Gig+ comes with a single 1.5kWh battery pack, but you can add another one as well. With a single battery pack, the scooter delivers a claimed range of 81km and with dual batteries, it provides a 157km claimed range.

Suspension, Brakes & Other details:

The Ola Gig electric scooter comes with a telescopic fork and dual-shock absorbers. The scooter is fitted with drum brakes on both ends. It has 12-inch wheels, wrapped with tubeless tyres on both ends.
