Honda recently patented the GB350C name in Japan, indicating that a new cafe racer variant may be launched internationally soon. The GB350 is sold in India as the H’ness CB350, and just in March, the India-spec bike received a bunch of custom accessory kits. More details about it here.
One of the kits introduced was a Cafe Racer, and our bet is that the Japanese market will get this kit as a new variant, called the GB350C. While the hardware, underpinnings and ergonomics of the bike remain the same as the standard model, there are visual elements that bring out a cafe racer appeal.
Here’s what it gets:
A solo seat with a cowl at the rear, paired with a colour-coded headlight fairing. It borrows the sporty stripes on the fuel tank, brushed metal bar-ends, fork gaiters and aluminium belly pan from the CB350RS. The kit costs Rs 22,200 in India, and is strictly for solo riders.
Interestingly, Honda will soon launch a cruiser based on the CB350 platform in India to compete with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Yezdi Roadster. Head here for more details on the same.
