Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0’s Mileage Test

To find the highest and lowest real-world fuel efficiency figures for the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0, the test ran two extremes. Buyers in this segment pick the bike for low running costs and reliability. Mileage matters. The numbers show a direct link between throttle input and fuel use.

Both tests ran the same 50km loop — 60 percent city, 40 percent highway, built to mirror a typical day. Then we rode it two ways. Run one stuck to moderate speeds: 25-30kmph through town, 50kmph on the highway. Run two pushed the same stretch flat-out.

Moderate-Speed Efficiency

On a light throttle, the Splendor Plus returned 125kmpl. Across the 50km test route it used just 0.41 litres of petrol. A full tank would last more than 1100km with this mileage. Mumbai to Goa and back, on one fill.

High-Speed Performance Drop

Ridden hard, the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0’s gives up some of its peak. Across the same 50km loop at a high speed, aggressive pace, it returned 43.47kmpl on 1.18 litres of petrol. Well off the best figure, but still competitive in the 100cc commuter class against rivals like the Honda Shine 100.

Real-World Takeaway For Buyers

Across the test scenarios, the Splendor Plus held its fuel-efficiency line. Power comes from a single-cylinder, air-cooled 97.2cc unit producing 8.02PS and 8.05Nm. Seven variants are offered, starting with the base Drum Brake at Rs 75,441 and topping out with the XTEC Disc at Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom Delhi).
