There is no doubt that the 500cc, twin-cylinder CMX500 Rebel has been a game changer for Honda internationally. Hence, the introduction of the bigger CMX1100 Rebel made complete evolutionary sense. For 2023, Honda has played it safe while updating the CMX1100 Rebel, but is offering yet another evolution by introducing a new touring friendly variant, the CMX1100T Rebel.

Unveiled At EICMA 2022, the updated CMX1100 Rebel remains unchanged mechanically and even aesthetically, but features a fresh paint scheme called - Iridium Grey Metallic. However, the bigger highlight here is the new CMX1100T variant which sports a bagger style ‘Batwing’ half-fairing and hard case panniers.
The hard cases on the touring variant offer 16-litre and 19-litre storage of the left and right hand side respectively. The fairing not only improves the aerodynamics but should also minimise rider fatigue while barrelling down the highway at triple digit speeds. The addition of the panniers should make it even more convenient for those long mile-munching trips.

Powering both trims is the same 1084cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin motor which it borrows from the Africa Twin. The motor has been retuned to suit the Rebel’s cruiser attitude and makes 87PS and 98Nm. Both variants will be offered in manual and DCT options.
Kerb Weight Difference:

CMX1100 - 223kg manual transmission | 233kg DCT
CMX1100T - 238kg with manual transmission | 248kg DCT
While Honda will soon launch the updated CMX1100 and CMX1100T Rebel in markets abroad, it’s unlikely that either of these two variants will be launched in India.
