Price: The Honda Rebel 500 was priced at Rs 5.49 lakh when it was sold as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), so expect the upcoming made-in-India version to be more affordable. It will be offered in both Standard and E-Clutch variants. It’s likely to be launched in December 2026.

Design: The Rebel 500 is designed for riders who look for a swanky lifestyle motorcycle. It has a distinctive bobber-inspired design. In fact, it looks quite similar to the smaller Honda Rebel 300. We wish Honda had tweaked the Rebel 500’s design a bit better to have its own visual identity rather than looking like a beefed up Rebel 300.

Features: The motorcycle gets a TFT with Honda RoadSync, turn-by-turn navigation, dual-channel ABS, and a slip-and-assist clutch. The E-Clutch variant further adds Honda's clutch-free shifting technology, allowing riders to shift gears without operating the clutch lever. There’s a traction control system too.

Engine: Powering the Rebel 500 is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The gearbox is manual in the standard variant, whereas you have the option to automate the clutch operation or use it manually in the E-Clutch variant.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Rebel 500 is built on a tubular steel frame with telescopic forks and dual rear shock absorbers. It gets disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, wide tyres, along with a low seat height of 700mm, easily accessible for shorter riders.

Rivals: The Honda Rebel 500 will rival the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Kawasaki Eliminator, and the Benelli 502C. One area where the Rebel 500 has the upper hand is the E-Clutch technology which none of its rivals have.
