A mad ADV has just entered the Indian two-wheeler market as Ducati has launched the Multistrada V4 RS in India at Rs 38.40 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it Rs 6.92 lakh more expensive than the V4 Pikes Peak model.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS gets an Iceberg White livery, inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP bike. The white and red paint scheme with the special graphics makes it look stunning. Powering the ADV is a 1103cc, liquid-cooled, V4 Desmosedici engine producing 180PS at 12,250rpm and 118Nm at 9,500rpm. It is inspired by the Desmosedici Stradale engine found in the manufacturer’s MotoGP bike. It gets the Panigale’s multiplate dry clutch and the bi-directional quickshifter is available as standard.

The V4 RS’ suspension setup consists of a 48mm inverted fork and a monoshock from Ohlins (both fully adjustable) while braking duties are taken care of by dual 330mm semi-floating front disc brakes with radially mounted monobloc 4-piston calipers and a 265mm rear disc with a 2-piston floating caliper (both from Brembo).

The ADV gets Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres (120-section front and 190-section rear) and 17-inch Marchesini forged wheels at both ends. In terms of features, it gets a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity and map-driven navigation. Other features include riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, a radar system, blind spot detection and cruise control. Its only rival in India is the BMW M 1000 XR, which costs Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).
