Gets a new Red and Metallic Silver paint
India’s 125cc sporty commuter bike space just got a whole lot more exciting. TVS has rolled out the latest version of its TVS Raider 125, and this one isn’t holding back. Packed with features that even some of the more expensive bikes don’t get, the new Raider brings a mix of performance, tech, and style that sets fresh benchmarks for the class.

For starters, the 2025 TVS Raider 125 becomes India’s first 125cc bike to get a rear disc brake. It also now gets single-channel ABS with a 240mm front disc. Rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R, Bajaj Pulsar N125, and Honda CB125 Hornet already offered this, but not the rear disc. The Raider also now wears fatter tyres: 90/90-17 at the front and 110/80-17 at the rear. A wider contact patch should translate to improved grip, and a more planted feel on both smooth tarmac and patchy roads.
It also has a ‘Follow Me Headlamp’ function that keeps the headlight on for a short time after the ignition or engine are switched off, to help illuminate your surroundings in case you've parked in a dark place. Last but not least, it’s now also offered in a new, eye-catchy, dual-tone Red and Metallic Silver colour. This’ paired with a front red gloss alloy and rear black painted wheels.

This TVS bike is being offered in 2 variants: SXC DD (Dual Disc) priced at Rs 93,800 and TFT DD at Rs 95,600 (both prices ex-showroom). As the names suggest, the latter gets a full colour TFT console from the SX variant, while the SXC gets a reverse-LCD cluster. Both get Bluetooth connectivity, voice assist, turn-by-turn navigation, and phone alerts.
It carries over the ‘Boost Mode’ and GTT (Glide Through Technology) from the iGo variant as well. The boost provides extra power via the electric starter motor when you twist the throttle wide open. GTT is TVS’ fancy name for crawl mode/low rpm assist, it makes riding in stop-go city traffic less of a hassle. It lets you ride at slow, crawling speeds without having to constantly modulate the clutch.

It’s still powered by the 124.8cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a 5-speed gearbox. It makes 11.38PS at 7,500rpm and 11.75Nm at 6,000rpm. It still has a telescopic fork, 5-step preload adjustable monoshock, a fairly low 780mm seat height, impressive 180mm of ground clearance, and a 10-litre fuel tank.
The TVS Raider 125 was arguably already the most feature-packed bike in the sporty 125cc commuter space, and now with this update, it has become even more so. With the focus on safety, we hope even its rivals soon follow suit.
