TVS has unveiled their own flex-fuel motorcycle at Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 – the TVS Raider 125 Flex-Fuel version. The bike uses TVS’ flex-fuel technology which allows it to run on E85 ethanol blend, which means that the ethanol percentage in the fuel mixture is 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol.
The Raider 125 Flex-Fuel version features a special colour scheme with neon green liveries on the tank and tank extensions, with Flex-Fuel Technology and FFT written in black. The tail section gets a grey finish and the bike sports a split seat setup. The new colour scheme makes it stand out from the other offerings in the TVS Raider 125 lineup.
Other than the new flex-fuel compliant engine which allows riders to use ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85, there hasn’t been any changes made to the bike. It is still powered by a 124.8cc air-cooled engine which produces 11.4PS and 11.2Nm. Flex Fuel bikes aren't as fuel efficient as their petrol counterparts but ethanol is much cheaper per liter than petrol so the bikes are able to make up for their inefficency. TVS has not announced the launch date of the Raider Flex-Fuel version but we expect it to be launched sometime around 2025. The Raider is priced at Rs 95,219 for the base single seat variant and rivals offerings in the 125cc segment like the Hero Xtreme 125R.
