2025 KTM 390 Adventure : Who Is It For?

KTM India has finally launched the 2025 390 Adventure . With the new upgrades, it promises to be a much more focused Adventure tourer than before. Lets find out if the new 390 Adventure  is the motorcycle for you or not.

Design

In terms of design the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure  does look like a purpose-built adventure motorcycle with a tall stance. It retains some design elements from bigger KTM motorcycles and uses them to look distinctive. It gets a tall visor upfront along with a neatly integrated dual-stacked LED headlight. Like a true KTM, the 390 Adventure  too uses some vibrant shades of orange which definitely helps the motorcycle to stand apart. Overall the motorcycle looks quite good and will gather a lot of attention on the roads.

Performance 

For 2025, KTM has plonked in the new motor inside the beautifully finished split trellis frame of this motorcycle. It is a 399cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 46PS and 39Nm. As seen on the 390 Duke, this an absolute beast of an engine, the frantic power delivery and smooth nature of this motor makes the motorcycle quite engaging to ride. KTM also worked upon tuning this engine for better low-end grunt which will be great for a touring motorcycle as it will provide better tractability and rideability than before.

Capability

In terms of capabilities, the new 390 Adventure  gets all the necessary hardware required for being a perfect adventure tourer. It gets fully-adjustable WP apex long-travel suspension on both the ends. This motorcycle also gets a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear with tubeless spoke wheel setup which will definitely help in better stability while off-roading. The 390 Adventure  also gets switchable ABS, which means a skillful rider will be able to extract maximum performance out of it while off-roading.

It gets comfortable ergonomics, loads of room for the rider and pillion along with all their luggage. The better suspension setup and a power house of an engine are also a part of the equation. All these things will definitely help the 390 ADV perform better overall.

Features

As seen on almost all KTM bikes, the 390 Adventure  too is feature-rich. It gets cornering ABS, switchable traction control, supermoto ABS, bidirectional quickshifter, and cruise control. The motorcycle also gets a 5.2-inch TFT display as seen on the 390 Duke. It gets smartphone connectivity which allows turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. All these electronics and features will definitely help the 390 Adventure  prove a better case for itself as an all-rounder.

Overall Package

When compared to the older 390 Adventure, the 2025 Adventure  version is a much better motorcycle overall. It gets better hardware and electronics which helps it in increasing the overall capabilities of the motorcycle. These new changes also makes the 390 Adventure  a suitable motorcycle for almost all types of riders. If you want something that's fun to ride and has the capability to literally go anywhere, then the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure  could be the bike for you. Priced at Rs 3,67,699 (ex-showroom), it is one of those all-rounders, which could very possibly be the “Do it all” motorcycle for you. Currently there is only one motorcycle which directly competes with the KTM and that is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
