KTM India has launched the 2025 Adventure range of motorcycles. The bikes were unveiled globally a few days back and have now been launched in India. The range includes three motorcycles: 390 Adventure, 390 Adventure X and the 250 Adventure.

Design

The 2025 KTM Adventure range of motorcycles share a similar design language between the three models. They get a design inspired by the Dakar rally bikes. The motorcycles get vertically stacked dual-LED headlights at the front surrounded by an LED DRL. They get a tall wind screen and a high mounted front beak which accentuate the adventurous look of the motorcycles. All three bikes are available in two colour schemes: Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

Engine

The KTM 390 Adventure and KTM 390 Adventure X are powered by the same 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which makes 46PS and 39Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bidirectional quickshifter. 

The KTM 250 Adventure is powered by the same engine as the 250 Duke. It makes 31PS and 25Nm, which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch, and a bidirectional quickshifter.

Underpinnings

The 390 Adventure has a rebound & compression adjustable inverted telescopic fork, and a preload & rebound adjustable monoshock. The bike gets 200mm of suspension travel at both ends. Braking is handled by a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. Brakes are mounted on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres. It has a ground clearance of 227mm and a seat height of 830mm. It has a 14.5 litre fuel tank and weighs in at 183kg kerb.

The 390 Adventure X gets a non-adjustable inverted telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock with 200mm of suspension travel at both ends. Brakes are the same as the 390 Adventure, a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The wheel sizes are different and there is a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheels. It has a ground clearance of 227mm and a seat height of 825mm. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres and a kerb weight of 182kg.

The KTM 250 Adventure is suspended on a non-adjustable inverted telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock. It has 200mm of suspension travel at both ends. It has the same set of brakes as the 390 Adventure. The ground clearance and fuel tank capacity is the same as well but the kerb weight is lower and stands at 177kg. 

Features

All three models get dual-channel ABS which is switchable for the rear wheel and a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth which allows for call & SMS alerts, music control and turn-by-turn navigation. Apart from these common features, the list is quite different and varies across the range.

The 390 Adventure gets cruise control, switchable traction control, cornering traction control, three riding modes: Street, Rain and Off-Road, cornering ABS, Offroad ABS, ride-by-wire, bidirectional quickshifter, slipper clutch and a 12V USB charging socket. 

The 390 Adventure X and the 250 Adventure get offroad ABS, ride-by-wire, a bidirectional quickshifter, slipper clutch and a 12V USB charging socket.  

Rivals

The 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X goes against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and BMW G 310 GS in India. While the 250 Adventure goes against the Suzuki X-Strom SX and the Yezdi Adventure.
