Just how much do you need to pay to buy a sportbike in India?
Before we answer that question, let us first define what a sportbike is. Classically, it means a motorcycle that offers sporty handling and good performance, and also features a full-fairing. Now that’s still defines quite a broad category and quite a few bikes in India will fall into it. There are also quite a few sporty nakeds which are also available in India, but for the sake of simplicity, we shall exclude most of them from this story. So then, how much can you be expected to pay for a sport bike in India?
The short answer is anywhere from a little over One lakh Rupees to easily upwards of 25 lakh rupees. The list actually is rather large. So we thought we’d split it into “made-in-India” sportbikes and CKD/CBU sportbikes. Here’s a list of all the full-faired sportbikes which are manufactured, or at least heavily localised in India, along with their prices, performance figures and our two cents.
