C12 MaxR Key Highlights
Price: BGauss has launched the C12 MaxR, a new electric scooter on a new platform. It is priced at Rs 1,45,990 (introductory ex-showroom).
Design: The C12 MaxR looks modern and sleek with a distinct projector headlight, sharp body lines, and a quilted seat. It will be available in dual and single tone colourways: Sparkling White with Champagne Gold, Terra Green with Champagne Gold, Pearl White, and Satin Black.
Features: The C12 MaxR gets a 5-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, document storage, remote lock through app. It has three riding modes: Eco (top speed limited to 45 kmph), Ride (60 kmph), Sport (75 kmph). Practical features include cruise mode, reverse mode, side and main stand motor cut-off, limp-home mode when on low battery and a USB-C charging port. There are several features that are enabled through app such as parental lock, selectable speed modes, vehicle health check, among others. Standard warranty for the battery, motor, charger and vehicle is 3 years or 50,000 km, whichever comes first.
Motor: The C12 MaxR is powered by a 3.8 kWh battery and the motor produces 4.2 kW of peak power. The ARAI certified range is 178 km. The charger that comes with it is rated at 750W, and can charge the scooter from 0-80% in 3 hours and 50 minutes. Charging from 0-100% takes 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The C12 MaxR has alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. Braking duties are handled by a 220 mm disc brake in the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear with CBS (Combined Braking System). It gets a telescopic front fork and a preload adjustable gas-charged monoshock at the rear.
