Renault Kaptur

March 24,2017: Renault's Kaptur will be launched later this year, sporting an expected price tag ranging between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 18 lakh. The SUV will be positioned above the Renault Duster and will take on the likes of the Tata Hexa and the Mahindra XUV500.
The Kaptur is based on the same platform as the Duster and is expected to carry over the same 104PS petrol motor as well as the 110PS diesel. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and CVT (petrol) and a 6-speed manual/AMT (diesel).
The big Renault follows the manufacturer's new design philosophy, sporting the new signature grille. Other exterior highlights include projector headlamps, C-shaped LED daytime running lamps, 17-inch alloy wheel and a two-tone colour scheme. Speaking of the interiors, expect features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and a digital + analogue instrument cluster. Unlike the Hexa and the XUV which can seat seven, the Kaptur is expected to be a five-seater.
