Overwhelmed by the public response in all major cities, where the Safe Riding Science program has impacted the lives of countless young biking enthusiasts, Yamaha now induces its unique initiative in Navi Mumbai

Yamaha Safe Riding Science

Three years into its home grown Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) initiative in India, Yamaha has already gained tremendous ground having already covered key metropolitans and tier II towns in the country.

This unique biking academia targeted at educating kids about the importance of proper riding techniques recently found service in the city of Navi Mumbai , where over 120 students between eight to thirteen years of age from St Xavier’s High School, Airoli, spent an entire day learning the basics of proper motorcycling and the safety aspects that go hand in hand with the thrill.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jun Nakata, Director-Sales and Marketing, India Yamaha Motor, said, “Understanding the need for an accident free environment, we feel that safe riding habits should be inculcated from the start and that is why our Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) initiative is directed towards today’s kids & youth. We want to teach them the nuances of riding safely so that when they grow up and start riding bikes they are well aware of traffic safety and proper riding techniques. We are glad that our YSRS initiative has been acknowledged and well accepted across India.”

Divided into 2 insightful theory and practical sessions the school kids were taught the basics of road safety, importance of riding gear and also how to ride a bike on Yamaha’s playful TTR 50 and PW 50 bikes for kids. The children learned these techniques from Yamaha licensed trainers.
