After a month of its unveiling alongside the FZ-X, the Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid finally went on sale in India. The new Fascino 125 FI Hybrid packs more bells and whistles compared to the previous-generation model. So, let's look at what the scooter has to offer.

The overall is pretty much the same apart from a few minor tweaks. You get the same flowing bodywork with a sweeping rear end. However, the front and rear illumination have been upgraded to LEDs with a horizontal DRL at the front.

Another crucial update on the new-gen Fascino 125 is the motor. It’s now powered by a 125cc air-cooled motor producing 8.2PS and 10.3Nm which gets the Smart Motor Generator (SMG). The SMG along with the battery offers a power assist which helps the motor accelerate much smoother from a standstill.

Even the feature list on the Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid has seen quite a few additions. It now gets a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Using the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app, you get access to the vehicle location, answer back, riding history, parking record, and the hazard lamp function.
While all that sounds fancy, only the disc brake variant gets the above features.

The Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid weighs just 99kg thereby being the lightest 125cc scooter. It’s sprung on a telescopic front fork and a single rear spring. Braking hardware comprises a 190mm front disc/130mm front drum along with a 130mm rear drum unit.

It rolls on 90/90-12 front and a 110/90-10 rear tyre.

The underseat storage is limited to 21-litre and the fuel tank capacity is 5.2-litres.

Yamaha offers the Fascino 125 FI Hybrid in two variants: drum and disc The prior is priced at Rs 70,000 while the latter costs Rs 76,530. You have a plethora of colours to choose from for both variants.
