Yamaha Fascino S Launched In India At Rs 93,730 highlights

Yamaha India has launched the Yamaha Fascino S with prices starting from Rs 93,730 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is based on the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid’s disc variant and gets three colour options on offer: Matte Red - SPL, Matte Black - SPL, and Dark Matte Blue - SPL.

The main highlight of this variant is that the Yamaha Fascino S gets Yamaha’s ‘Answer Back’ feature. This feature can be used through the “Yamaha Scooter Answer Back” phone application. By pressing the answer back button on the application, the left and right indicators of the scooter light up and the horn is activated for two seconds, enabling the rider to locate the scooter easily.

The rest of the scooter has remained unchanged and is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled engine producing 8.2PS and 10.3Nm. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock while braking duties are taken care of by a 190mm front disc and a drum brake at the rear.

In terms of features, the Fascino S gets an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts (through the Y-Connect app). The console shows the speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, trip meter, and tachometer readouts. The scooter also comes equipped with Yamaha’s Automatic Stop & Start System, which cuts off the engine when it idles for more than a set duration while the scooter is stationary. The motor can be turned back on by simply twisting the throttle. This feature is aimed at producing better mileage output. The Fascino S rivals the likes of the Hero Destini 125, TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa 125, and the Suzuki Access 125.
