Triumph Motorcycles Organises Ride for Freedom On Independence Day

On the occasion of India celebrating its 70 years of independence, Triumph Motorcycles India organised a Ride for Freedom event which was conducted across multiple cities in the country. The event was attended by hundreds of Triumph motorcycle owners who also took the pledge to contribute towards girl child education. 

Speaking about the Ride for Freedom Vimal Sumbly, managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said: “It was great to see the Triumph Motorcycles coming together for a noble cause. While we celebrate the 70th year of Independence, it is our responsibility to make our country a stronger Independent nation. This Triumph Motorcycles’ ‘Ride for Freedom’ is a pledge to empower our girl children by providing them proper education”.

The Independence ride was conducted by the British motorcycle manufacturer along with Smile Foundation supporting the cause. The Foundation is a national level development organization and is recognized for its activities towards healthcare, education, and livelihood of children along with undertaking women empowerment programs. The work carried out by this organization has benefitted over four lakh children and their families every year. This has been achieved through more than 200 live welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood and women empowerment conducted in over 950 remote villages and slums across 25 states of the nation.

Speaking at the event, Vikram Singh Verma, COO Smile Foundation said: “This is a very heartening gesture by Triumph Motorcycles India to come forward for the cause of providing education to a girl child belonging to the less privileged sections of the society. We would also like to thank all the Triumph Motorcycles owners who came forward to support this initiative, which is certain to tug many hearts.”

The Ride for Freedom event was flagged off from Triumph dealerships in their respective cities and concluded at the same dealerships.
