Royal Enfield bikes have enjoyed quite a reputation in India. Their motorcycles may seem a bit outdated, but many new customers are attracted towards the brand just to savour the riding experience and the old world charm associated with it. The legendary brand has many ardent enthusiasts all over India. Not to mention the stereotypical dream of Indian college kids of riding to the Himalayas with their buddies. If you’ve been dreaming of the same, Royal Enfield wants to make it come true. The fastest growing motorcycle brand has just opened registrations for the first ever edition of 'Tour of Uttarakhand' which will start on September 15. This event will cost Rs 20,000 for solo riders and Rs 40,000 for couples.
This journey will offer a once in a lifetime experience by taking you through some of the lesser explored regions of the Himalayas, forest reserves and Mana, which is the last village on the Tibetan border. The terrain is laden with scenic views of the beautiful northeastern landscape, snow-capped mountains and even some frozen water bodies. As unique as this ride will be, it’ll also put your mettle to test.
The participants will cover a distance of 1,500km over a span of 10 days. After flagging off at Dehradun, the royal convoy will first head towards Harsil and then continue the journey onwards to Nelang Valley, Niti Pass, Auli, Kausani, Jim Corbett, before finally heading back to Dehradun again. If you want to be a part of this experience, you can now register on the official RE website.
