As you can see, Hero Xtreme 160R has had the highest price hike. It’s a little unfair that the 100 Million Edition variant, which is simply a new colour scheme upgrade, has gotten so expensive, considering it was launched just the last month. Hero MotoCorp says the hike in prices for all the models are “to partially offset the impact of increased commodity costs.”

While the premium for the other commuter models aren’t all that much, the Hero Splendor Plus seems to have lost its sheen of being an affordable commuter. Its arch-enemy, the TVS Radeon, is priced at under Rs 60,000 and has a larger 110cc heart.
