Platina 100 Key Highlights
Price: The bike is offered in four paint schemes (Black & Red, Black & Silver, Black & Gold and Black & Blue) and are all priced at Rs 67,808 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Design: In terms of design, the Bajaj Platina 100 leans towards a conservative aesthetic. It incorporates a bikini fairing and mildly sporty graphics, adding a touch of sophistication. The bike features a spacious and well-padded single-piece seat for enhanced comfort, along with an easily accessible handlebar that ensures an upright riding posture. Notably, it replaces traditional footpegs with flat footboards for pillion riders. This should help in better pillion comfort.
Features: The Platina 100 features an LED daytime running light (DRL) positioned above its halogen headlight unit. The tail section and turn indicators employ halogen lighting as well. The bike also boasts redesigned rear-view mirrors, and comes with CBS as a standard safety feature.
Engine: The heart of the Bajaj Platina 100 is a single-cylinder, 102cc air-cooled engine. This powerplant generates 7.9PS of power and 8.34Nm of torque. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the motorcycle claims a top speed of 90kmph.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: In terms of its suspension, the Platina 100 employs a telescopic front fork with 135mm of travel and dual shocks at the rear with 110mm of wheel travel. The braking system consists of a 130mm drum brake up front and a 110mm rear drum, enhanced by a combined braking system for improved safety. Notably, Bajaj does not offer a front disc brake even as an optional feature. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubed tires. The bike weighs 117kg kerb, and gets a 11-litre fuel tank. The seat height is 807mm, and the bike offers a generous ground clearance of 200mm.
