Hero MotoCorp Products Get Expensive Yet Again

Prices have gone up by up to Rs 3,350

 

Last week, Hero MotoCorp announced a price hike across its entire portfolio owing to increasing commodity prices. Here’s the new price list:

While most of the products have undergone a nominal price hike, the bikemaker’s premium products like the XPulse 200 and 200T, and Xtreme 160R and 200S have witnessed a major shift in their costs.

This hike comes barely three months after the last price revision, which saw a similar bump in costs as well. The recently launched Maestro Edge 125 wasn’t spared either. The likes of the Yamaha Fascino Hybrid and Ray-ZR 125 Hybrid in the market packing similar features and available at lower prices certainly threaten the Maestro’s market. Similarly, with the TVS Raider entering the competitive 125cc segment, it’ll be interesting to see how the Glamour’s sales hold up now that select variants of the bike are pricier than the Raider.
