The BMW R 18 is one of the boldest bikes to come out of Bavaria in quite some time. Its design has loads of presence and there’s a rather un-German amount of bling on the big cruiser. But if you still feel that it isn’t enough, BMW has got you covered with its ‘Option 719’ line of accessories.

The most apparent differentiator is a special paint scheme which does the lion’s share of making the R 18 look swankier. Galaxy Dust is what BMW calls the primary shade and the reason it doesn’t feature the name of a colour is because depending upon the angle at which light hits it, this paint can appear anything from purple to blue to and even green. This magical shade is contrasted by Titanium Silver to form a two-tone paint scheme.

The Option 719 range also includes special cylinder head covers, crankcase covers, and intake system covers machined from aluminium -- the first two feature peculiar little air vents that hark back to the streamliners of the early 20th century. Further upping the snazziness quotient are a set of blingy six-spoke wheels that look straight from an American Chopper episode, and rounding off the Option 719 lineup is a special heated seat with diamond-stitching.
BMW hasn’t announced pricing for these components yet, but we expect the tags to be as fancy as the parts themselves. The Option 719 range is expected to become available by September this year, with a good chance that you can buy it in India too.
