BREAKING: Ola S1 X+ 5.2kWh Launched In India; Has A Claimed Range Of 320km On A Full Charge

Ola Electric has launched a new electric scooter in India, the Ola S1 X Plus 5.2kWh. Priced at an introductory Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom), the offer is valid till April 15, 2026, after which prices are likely to see a revision.

What’s New?

The highlight of the new S1 X+ is its 5.2kWh battery pack, which uses Ola’s new 4680 Bharat Cells. The same type of cells which we have seen in the S1 Pro Plus and the Roadster X +.

Performance & Range

The scooter is powered by an 11kW mid-drive motor paired with an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU). Ola claims an IDC-certified (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 320km, which is among the highest in the segment. The claimed top speed stands at 125kmph, putting it closer to performance-oriented electric scooters rather than just city commuters.

Features & Underpinnings

While Ola has not revealed what features the scooter gets, it is expected to continue with the same set as the lower 4kWh variant. An LCD instrument console, ride modes and single-channel ABS.

In terms of hardware, the S1 X+ 5.2kWh comes equipped with a front disc brake along with a brake-by-wire system.

Where does it sit?

The new S1 X+ 5.2kWh variant sits right in between the lower-capacity 4kWh S1 X+ (priced at Rs 1,02,499) and the 5.2kWh S1 Pro+ (priced at Rs 1,44,999). Both prices are ex-showroom.  

As for the rivals, the Ola Scooter goes up against the likes of Bajaj Chetak 35 series, Ather 450X, TVS iQube and Hero Vida VX2.
