...and its resemblance with the Royal Enfield Himalayan is now more glaring than ever

The Yezdi Adventure has been spotted undisguised for the first time, days after its scrambler sibling was snapped in production guise. These pictures of the upcoming ADV from the Classic Legends-owned company have been reportedly taken during a commercial shoot, hinting that the bike is ready for its public debut.

First, the design. The Yezdi Adventure looks like a proper Royal Enfield Himalayan doppelganger. Everything -- from the overall design to details like the embossed name on the side covers, jerry can holders, and panniers -- has a stark resemblance to RE's ADV. That said, unlike the Himalayan, the Yezdi has more modern elements.

For starters, Yezdi has equipped the Adventure bike with LED illumination all around and even a fully digital console, likely to be a TFT unit. It gets a modern liquid-cooled engine that’s expected to be borrowed from the Jawa Perak. While the bobber produces 30PS and 32Nm, Yezdi might tinker with the tuning to suit the ADV’s character.

In terms of underpinnings, the Yezdi Adventure features a telescopic fork and a monoshock, most likely to be with a linkage. Byre calipers have been entrusted with braking duties. The bike runs on a 19/17-inch setup instead of the 21/17 inches on the Himalayan.

The Yezdi Adventure is likely to debut this month and go on sale next year. Currently, the Royal Enfield Himalayan retails at Rs 2.10 lakh, and we expect Yezdi’s upcoming bike to undercut the RE. Though the Yezdi could have an advantage over its rival on paper, would Classic Legends be able to meet the production demands, and more importantly, reliability standards? We can't wait to ride the new kid on the block.
