Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched the new Yezdi Adventure with some mechanical and cosmetic changes. Here are the details:
The 2024 Yezdi Adventure’s prices start from Rs 2,09,900 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 6,000 cheaper than the previous model’s base colour option called Slick Silver (Matte). It is available in four colour options: Tornado Black, Magnite Maroon DT, Wolf Grey DT and Glacier White DT. Here are the colour-wise prices:
Colours |
Price (ex-showroom) |
Tornado Black |
Rs 2,09,900 |
Magnite Maroon DT |
Rs 2,12,900 |
Wolf Grey DT |
Rs 2,15,900 |
Glacier White DT |
Rs 2,19,900 |
The Yezdi Adventure’s main rival is the BMW G 310 GS. More powerful alternatives include the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X.
Apart from the colour changes, there are a few mechanical changes to the bike as well. It is powered by the same 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from the new Jawa 350 but now produces 29.6PS (0.7PS less) and 29.8Nm compared to the previous Yezdi Adventure motor. It comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox but the gear ratios are different now (the first 3 gears are shorter and the other 3 are longer), with each gear having a different engine mapping as well. The suspension setup is similar, consisting of a telescopic fork and a linked monoshock with 7-step preload adjustability. The manufacturer claims that in the 2024 model, the suspension has been tweaked to be softer at lower speeds and stiffer at higher speeds. The ADV also gets a rerouted exhaust, which is claimed to produce a quieter note.
The cosmetic changes include a new, smaller looking tank-mounted luggage frame, which integrates with the rest of the design much better. The sump guard is different as well. The wires on the bike have been tucked in better in the 2024 model, making the ADV look much tidier and more premium than before.
The rest of the bike has remained unchanged, including the brakes, which are a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard. The rear ABS is not switchable. It gets a 90-section front tyre with a 21-inch wheel and a 130-section rear tyre with a 17-inch wheel setup. It has a wheelbase of 1465mm, seat height of 825mm and a ground clearance of 220mm. The Adventure comes equipped with the same LCD instrument console and gets Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It shows readouts such as the odometer, speedometer, trip meter, fuel level gauge, gear position indicator, and a clock.
With the 2024 Adventure being cheaper than the previous model and its primary rival, the G 310 GS being more expensive by a lakh and some change, owning a sub-350cc ADV has become more accessible. This should help improve the Adventure’s sales figures from now on. Also, the company claims that the revised engine tuning has improved its mid-range grunt and refinement. The better mid-range grunt should improve its off-roading capabilities while the improved refinement, like Jawa Yezdi did with the Jawa 350 recently, should go a long way in improving its highway touring capabilities.
