It’s no secret that an adventure motorcycle from TVS is in the works and after the recent unveiling of the new RT-XD4 engine at MotoSoul 2024. Here’s what we think about the upcoming adventure motorcycle from the manufacturer: 

Could be called the Apache RTX 300

In 2023, TVS trademarked a name, “TVS Apache RTX” and the status said ‘Formalities Chk Pass’, which means the Indian Trademark Registry had authenticated the records. The RTR name in the TVS lineup is for all its road-going motorcycles. The RTX name hints at something off-road. The adventure motorcycle could very-well be made upon an all-new platform. 

Upcoming TVS ADV Could be Called the Apache RTX 300 details

New Engine?

The TVS ADV will most likely get the brand-new RT-XD4 engine which TVS unveiled at MotoSoul. The new TVS RT-XD4 300 is a 299.1cc, 4-valve liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 35PS at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The RT-XD4 300 platform will also feature a ride-by-wire throttle. The performance figures of the RT-XD4 are similar to the current 310cc engine but has a flatter torque curve which will be a better match for the adventure motorcycle.

Expected Price and launch date

We expect the upcoming TVS ADV to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh and it is expected to launch by March 2025.
