Quick Read:
It gets the 300cc RT-XD4 engine that was showcased last year
Introductory price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Gets exciting features like cruise control, TPMS and ride modes
TVS has launched the Apache RTX 300 in India at an introductory price of Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is the brand’s first adventure motorcycle and gets an all-new 300cc motor, adventure ready appearance, and loads of exciting features like cruise control, proper navigation and more.

The TVS Apache RTX 300 looks like a proper adventure motorcycle with its large visor, neatly integrated front beak, and block pattern tyres. The RTX 300 looks quite appealing with its nice-looking fascia with a big LED headlight, clean-looking fairing, golden coloured inverted fork, and big exhaust muffler.
Overall the design of the new Apache RTX 300 is a bit more easy on the eyes when compared to some of the other adventure motorcycles in the segment. TVS has launched the RTX 300 in 5 striking colour options: Pearl White, Lightning Black, Metallic Blue, Tarn Bronze and Viper Green. All of these colour options go quite well with the adventurous and rugged stance of the RTX 300, but we personally like the Lightning Black paint scheme a bit more.

Just like every other TVS motorcycle or scooter, the Apache RTX 300 also comes loaded with features. It gets a 5-inch TFT console with full-fledged navigation using phone mirroring, SMS/call alerts, and digital document storage. The SmartXonnect (smartphone connected tech) allows for features like last parked location, ride analytics, service alert, low fuel alert and much more.
The bike also gets an all LED headlight with a welcome animation and intensity control, according to which the headlight becomes brighter as the speed of the motorcycle increases. Other features include a tyre pressure monitoring system, and cruise control – both of which should make touring more comfortable. Electronic rider aids include a bidirectional quickshifter, 3-level ABS, 2-level traction control, and 4 riding modes (Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally) which change the engine response, and levels of ABS and traction control.

TVS has given the RTX 300 the all new RT-XD4 motor which was unveiled back in 2024. This 300cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor makes 36PS at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch.

The TVS Apache RTX 300 comes with a split trellis frame, and a cast aluminium swingarm. However, being an ADV, it has a 41mm inverted fork with adjustable compression and rebound and a preload adjustable monoshock – both with 180mm wheel travel. The front has a 320mm disc with a radial caliper and a 240mm rear disc. The front is a 110/80-19 tyre and the rear is a 150/70-17 tyre – both tubeless and with a block pattern that should help with a bit of off-roading.
This adventure bike weighs 180kg(kerb) and gets a 12.5-litre fuel tank.. The RTX 300 comes with a ground clearance of 200mm which is pretty decent for a road-biased adventure motorcycle. That said, the seat height is 835mm which might be a bit too tall for many.

As of now, the TVS Apache RTX 300 competes with the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and the Suzuki V-Strom SX. Keeping the current introductory pricing of the RTX 300 in mind, all of its rivals are much more expensive. Some bikes may offer better off-road capabilities, while others are too basic in terms of features to get directly compared.
The TVS Apache RTX 300 marks the brand’s confident entry into the adventure-tourer segment, and we have high hopes from the all new RT-XD4 motor. On that note, the engine has multiple roles to play. First off, being under 350cc has helped TVS price the adventure bike well. It will also become a replacement for the now-aging 310cc engine that was jointly developed with BMW. The RTX is only the first bike based on it, but TVS should have a few other bike formats in the pipeline that use the same engine.
