Better late than never, it looks like TVS is gearing up to launch its first-ever adventure bike, the RTX 300 soon. It could be launched some time next month (August 2025). This ADV will be the debut model to feature the company’s brand-new RT-XD4 engine, a fresh 300cc platform that was first showcased at the 2024 TVS MotoSoul event.
The upcoming ADV’s engine makes 35PS and 28.5Nm. Based on spy shots and patent filings, the RTX 300 appears to be built more for long-distance touring than hardcore off-roading. It gets a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup, suggesting a road-friendly setup.

As for the looks, the bike’s styling is unlike any other TVS, and that’s for a good reason considering this is the Hosur-based brand’s first attempt at making a road-legal ADV. That said, we could see a hint of the Triumph Tiger, especially the twin LED headlight design.A trellis frame with a bolt-on rear subframe holds the bike together, while suspension includes an inverted telescopic fork and a monoshock – both expected to offer decent wheel travel.
We expect the RTX 300 to set a new benchmark for the number of features available in a small adventure motorcycle. This is because of what we have seen in the company’s current 310cc lineup, the Apache RTR 310 and the RR 310. They get features which motorcycles even a few segments above don’t offer. Expect the upcoming TVS adventure bike to get at least a TFT console, multiple riding modes, switchable traction control system, (hopefully cornering) cruise control, and a bi-directional quickshifter. These should cover the basics.

Since this is TVS’ first attempt at making an ADV, it seems to be taking a calculated approach and not going all-out and bringing a 450cc ADV. With the new 300cc engine platform, it seems like TVS wants to give customers an accessible touring-centric bike that still has reasonable highway manners. Consequently, the RTX 300 is expected to be priced between the KTM 250 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Expect the brand to price the bike at around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) as that pricing will keep it in the same league as the KTM 250 Adventure.
The TVS will be more of an entry-level adventure bike suitable for those looking to upgrade from an XPulse 200 without emptying their wallets or compromising on features.
