Indians love the concept of “one size fits all” Afterall, investing in a machine that serves different purposes simply makes life easier. Incidentally, when it comes to motorcycle genres, adventure bikes can often be considered as one as many of them are capable of effortless highway touring, while gobbling up bad roads, speed breakers and potholes for breakfast. India has witnessed a variety of adventure bike launches of late, and it’s only set to get even more exciting in the coming months with several launches and unveils from different brands in the pipeline. Here’s a quick roundup:

With the upcoming RTX 300, TVS is planning its bold entry into the adventure motorcycle category. Blending rugged looks (hopefully) with the brand’s modern tech, as seen on the Apache RR310 and RTR 310, the RTX300 will finally give enthusiasts a taste of TVS’ experience in off-road motorsports. At its heart is going to be the all-new 299cc RT-XD4 engine which makes 35PS and 28Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. It gets a trellis frame, an upside-down fork, and a rear monoshock with preload-adjustability.
For confidence-inspiring ride on good and bad roads alike, the bike uses a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup along with dual purpose tyres. With a tall windscreen, front beak, sharp panels, full LED lighting, the bike looks the part of a modern ADV. Additionally, features like dual-channel ABS, TFT display, ride-by-wire, traction control should make touring all the more effortless, it is expected to be built for riders who want to go far, look good while doing so, and also have some usable modern tech. The official launch is expected to take place by the end of this month or next month. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Edition is expected to be a perfect choice for people who find the standard Himalayan 450 to be a bit mellow. The test bike ridden by none other than CS Santosh looked properly Dakar-inspired. While it’s based on the standard bike, the Rally Edition will get fully-adjustable suspension, both front and rear. Taking things a bit further, the bike also gets a 21-inch front and a bigger 18-inch rear cross-spoke wheel setup.
Powertrain is going to remain the same, with the 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine that makes 40PS and 40Nm in the stock bike. We hope Royal Enfield tweaks the engine for a bit more firepower in the Rally Edition. Other expected bits include a bigger fuel tank (courtesy Acerbis), an upswept rally style exhaust, a flat single-piece seat, knuckle guards, and slightly different bodywork. With all these upgrades, you can not only get to Leh in style, but also run circles around the range!

CFMoto is all set to (re)enter the Indian market. We even got to sample the CFMoto 450MT in March 2025. The brand has since been working on tweaking the bike based on the received feedback. Once launched, the CFMoto 450 MT is expected to be a perfect competitor to the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The 450MT is a proper mid-weight ADV, serving up a perfect mix of style, power and tech.
The bike is already present in the international market, and is powered by a 449cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor pushing out 44PS and 44Nm and also gets a 6-speed gearbox. It uses a tubular-steel frame along with KYB suspension with 200mm of wheel travel at both ends, same as the Himalayan 450. There is also a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoke wheel setup, backed by dual purpose tyres. Just like its Orange competitor, the 450MT too offers switchable ABS, traction control, a TFT console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, LED lighting, and super rugged ADV looks. It is expected to be launched by September 2025, and the pricing could be around Rs 4.50 lakh. (ex-showroom Delhi).

There are two more ADVs that are expected to debut by the end of this year. They may make global headlines with their planned unveils at the 2025 EICMA by the end of this year, but what makes them even more special is that they’ll both be made in India. Enter the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 and the BMW F 450 GS. The Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 750 was recently spied and looks quite promising with its rugged neo-retro design. The 750cc parallel-twin engine is expected to make around 55PS and 66Nm. It will be the first bike under the 750cc platform, with the Interceptor and Continental GT-R 750 to follow.

After discontinuing the G310 GS, BMW kept itself busy by working on a brand new 450cc parallel-twin engine platform. This will be BMW Motorrad’s answers to all the shortcomings of the G 310 GS, and then more. The German bikemaker is also keen on keeping the bike accessible, and will hence use its partner TVS’ help in manufacturing. It was spotted testing recently, and the bike looks every bit a quintessential GS. Like the Himmy 750, the F 450 GS will also be a capable, refined mile-muncher. As the bike has been co-developed with TVS, it is also expected to be loaded with some interesting tech and features, including a semi-automatic transmission!
That said, both of these titans are expected to be launched in early 2026, and the price of both may be around Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
