Triumph India has recently launched the Speed T4 in India, as its most affordable bike. Priced at Rs 2,17,000 (ex-showroom), it is Rs 23,000 cheaper than the Triumph Speed 400. Being cheaper, Speed T4 gets a toned-down engine with reduced power, a different suspension setup, a different set of tyres and of course, different colour schemes.
We have compiled a list of other alternatives that you can buy instead of the Triumph Speed T4, including a sportbike, roadster, adventure bike and more:
1. Yamaha R15M: Rs 1,98,300 - Rs 2,08,300 (ex-showroom)
Engine: 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder
Power Output: 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm
Yamaha has recently updated the R15M range in India. The 155cc sportbike now gets refreshed colourways and updated features including, turn-by-turn navigation and music controls via the Yamaha smartphone app along with an LED light for the rear number plate. The TFT console layout has also been tweaked to accommodate the navigation. The bike also has traction control, a quickshifter for upshifts, and a slipper clutch as standard.
The Yamaha R15M is now available in three colour schemes: Metallic Grey, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP edition, and the range-topping Icon performance variant. If you are a young guy and want to be popular and stylish to stand out, the R15M is the perfect bike to go for!
2. Jawa 42 FJ: Rs 1,99,412 - Rs 2,20,142 (ex-showroom)
Engine: 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder
Power Output: 29.17PS and 29.62Nm
The latest addition to the Jawa motorcycle line-up, the 42 FJ is a 334cc neo-retro roadster. It comes with a stylish modern look but still carries a retro touch. The new Jawa 42 FJ is available in five different dual-tone colour options, and its base variant gets optional spoke/alloy wheels.
The Jawa 42 FJ is equipped with a full-LCD instrument console, shared from the Jawa 42 Bobber, but misses out on smartphone connectivity. The bike comes with all-LED lighting, has a USB charging port for added convenience and gets a 12-litre fuel tank. If you are someone looking to get a new retro-roadster bike that stands out from the crowd with its looks and performance, then the Jawa 42 FJ is worth considering.
3. KTM 200 Duke: Rs 1,98,950 (ex-showroom)

How can we even miss the KTM 200 Duke on this list? One of the most popular 200cc bikes in India, the Duke 200 now comes with the same looks as the previous-gen 250 Duke. It is offered only in two colour options: Electric Orange and Dark Galvano. Being the most powerful naked bike in the 200cc segment, the 200 Duke provides an exhilarating performance. The 200cc naked bike has excellent handling, and good brakes and is a fun-to-ride bike that wants to be ridden hard. It has a slightly leaned forward upright riding posture.
In terms of features, the Duke 200 falls short as it gets an LCD instrument console, but misses out on smartphone connectivity features. The bike gets dual-channel ABS as standard. It also gets a Supermoto mode that allows you to lock the rear wheel and slide the bike. Hence, the Duke 200 is for someone who doesn't care much about the features but is looking for a no-nonsense street fighter with powerful performance and sporty looks.
4. Bajaj Dominar 400: Rs 2,32,040 (ex-showroom)
Engine: 373.3cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder
Power Output: 40PS at 8,800rpm and 35Nm at 6,500rpm
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is the flagship bike from the Pune-based manufacturer. It is a sports tourer and comes loaded with touring accessories including a tall visor, saddle stays, engine bash plate, engine guard, pillion backrest, rear luggage rack and hand guards. The Dominar 400 comes with a bulky and muscular design with a large LED headlight which complements its overall look. The bike is currently available in only 2 colours: Aurora Green and Charcoal Black.
The Dominar 400 comes with two digital displays, one is the regular console that includes speed, RPM, average mileage, fuel level, side indicator alert and other basic telltale lights. Whereas, the other display is mounted on the fuel tank and shows the odometer, gear position, tripmeter and clock. The bike has a phone mount above the instrument cluster. There's also a USB charging port next to the handlebar for easy phone charging without removing it from the mount.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is perfect for those with a passion for touring and adventure. If you love long bike rides and are always ready to hit the road with your bags packed, the Dominar 400 might be the right choice for you.
5. Yezdi Adventure: Rs 2,09,900 - Rs 2,19,900 (ex-showroom)
Engine: 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder
Power Output: 29.60PS and 29.80Nm
The Yezdi Adventure, as the name suggests, is an adventure bike. It comes with a similar design as the now-discontinued Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. The updated 2024 Yezdi Adventure gets a more refined engine and gearbox, a new panel below the instrument console, a slimmer and lighter tank-mounted luggage frame, a new exhaust route, and a new coolant tank placement. All these updates have resulted in making the bike smoother to ride and a lot more off-road capable than before, thanks to the massive weight reduction.
The Yezdi Adventure gets an all-LED lighting setup. It features an LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The ADV gets turn-by-turn navigation as standard and also has a USB charging port. It is available in four colour options: Wolf Grey DT and Glacier White DT have a gloss finish, whereas the Magnite Maroon and Tornado Black have a matte finish.
The Yezdi Adventure makes sense for those who want an ADV that can tour for long distances as well as hunt down off-road trails, effortlessly.
