Triumph has revised the prices of the Speed T4 in India. The bike was earlier priced at Rs 2,17,000 but gets a price reduction of Rs 18,000 and is now priced at Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Triumph Speed T4 was launched back in September 2024 and is based upon the Triumph Speed 400. It shares the same 389cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine but has a different state of tune. It makes 31PS and 36Nm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike gets a conventional telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock. The Speed T4 replaces the aluminium footpegs for steel ones to make it more affordable. For reference, the Speed 400 is priced at Rs 2,40,405 (ex-showroom).

Why has the price dropped?

With the launch of new bikes such as the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and the Hero Xtreme 250R which offer a similar amount of performance but at a marginally more affordable price tag. Triumph could have dropped the price to keep the T4 more competitive against such. Another reason might be the good response to the initial price discount during the festive season last year. While we can only speculate what caused the price reduction, we know that it will only mean good for those contemplating buying the bike.

Should you buy the Triumph Speed T4 over its rivals?

The Triumph Speed T4 is a great product overall. While it does not provide the best performance or the features available at that price point, what the Triumph offers is a better built product with good fit and finish levels. The build quality represents the Triumph badge it comes with and is up to the brand’s international standards which one associated Triumph with.
