The 2025 Tata Sierra has been launched at a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) which marks the return of this nameplate after over two decades. With this return, the Sierra brings back a familiar design, but with a lot of modern elements, and offers everything you expect from a new car in 2025.
While there are a lot of things this SUV has to offer, we’re gonna talk about the 5 things that we just love about the Tata Sierra.
The OG Sierra was an icon on Indian roads partially due to its design – big, muscular, and covered with a glass roof that merged with the rear windows. Now, due to safety standards and the presence of rear doors, Tata can’t exactly replicate that look, but they did mimic it perfectly with a black roof, blacked-out C-pillars, larger windows, and a panoramic sunroof.

Not only this, the original design, no matter how classic, wasn’t modern in any way. To make the 2025 Sierra appealing for the current market, Tata has used a lot of modern elements that make it look fresh while also keeping the essence of the original SUV.

The main highlights are the connected LED DRLs and the connected LED taillamps which are both single units, unlike the setups of other modern Tata cars. And lastly, its muscular and butch look is made modern by 18-inch styling alloy wheels.

After driving the Tata Sierra, one of the things we loved the most was its ride quality. The suspension setup has been tuned very smartly and that shows when you’re driving on rough terrains. The Sierra remains calm, absorbs all speedbreakers and potholes with ease, and does not throw you around inside the cabin.

Even on highways at high speeds, it remains stable, handles cracks and level changes with ease, and makes sure you get a comfortable ride quality no matter what terrain you’re driving on.
No I’m not talking about the exhaust note. The Sierra comes with a 12-speaker JBL Black sound system, which if you’re an audiophile, you’ll really appreciate. With these many speakers, including a dedicated soundbar integrated into the dashboard, you get a theatre-like surround sound experience.

Tata has provided you with multiple pre-set equaliser settings that you can choose between, and to really enjoy this sound system, listed to songs that have been purposefully recorded for Dolby Atmos.
This is what you should hear every time you start the Sierra turbo-petrol. It comes with Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which has the highest output in its segment, and you feel that as soon as you start driving.

It is quick to accelerate, gains speed in no time, makes overtakes seem effortless, and offers an enjoyable drive. At the same time, the power delivery also feels smooth and linear, and there is no sudden surge of power that will take you by surprise.
Thanks to the way Tata has packaged the Sierra, this Creta-sized SUV has the best space in the segment. One six-footer can easily sit behind another six-footer, there is excellent legroom and kneeroom, and the width is enough for three people to sit comfortably.

Not only this, the Sierra comes with a massive boot, which has enough space to keep the entire luggage of your family for a long trip. The boot is deep, wide, and long. This means that you can keep multiple suitcases, stack bags on top of each other, and in case you’re hauling large items, you can fold the rear seats as they get a 60:40 split.

The cherry on top is a powered tailgate with gesture control which makes loading and unloading luggage more convenient.
These were the things that we loved the most about the 2025 Tata Sierra, and we’re sure there are many other things that you like which aren’t in this list. So let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
