The Maruti Brezza facelift for 2026 brings in much-needed updates to keep up with the tech-fested rivals and the safety-conscious buyers.

The fascia of the Brezza looks refreshed thanks to a new, sharper-looking bumper with a sleeker trim denoting the variant and the engine under the bonnet. The fog lamps now get a sharp triangular housing with a subtle aero vent as well.

The side profile remains largely similar to the outgoing model with changes including a newer design to the door cladding and modern-looking alloy wheels. The overall boxy proportions of the Brezza give it an SUV stance, and yet it is family-friendly with its height and ergonomics.

The rear end of the Brezza includes minor changes as well, including a subtle new design for the bumper cladding and the new “turbo” badging on the rear tailgate.

The Interiors of the Brezza have also seen a facelift similar to the exteriors. While the basic layout stays the same, it’s colours and materials have seen a small update. The design on the dashboard sees a new satin copper-coloured panel surrounded by a piano black inserts. Higher variants get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new climate control panel with a volume knob. Both of which are borrowed from the Victoris.

The overall interior has generally been well made, and the Brezza has further elevated the feel of the cabin with ambient lighting as well. The seats get brown and black semi-leatherette and fabric upholstery, and the doors follow a similar colour theme. Space, ergonomics and storage practicality of the Brezza are competent and will leave you satisfied unless you have tall family members.
The Brezza can be had in 5 colour options: Arctic White, Sizzling Red, Magma Grey, Pearl Bluish Black and Splendid Silver. Of these, the Red, White and Beige shades can be had with a dual-tone paint scheme as well.
The 2026 Brezza comes packed with features including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, PM 2.5 cabin air filter, 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, automatic climate control, single-pane sunroof, heads-up display, wireless charger, and connected car technology.

The Brezza also features safety tech such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera, select Level-1 ADAS features which include cross traffic alert (RCTA), blind spot warning (BSW) and safe exit warning, front parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). To add to the new Brezza’s safety credentials, it has scored 5-stars in the Bharat NCAP crash test.
The Brezza comes with two engine options: a 1-litre turbo petrol engine which comes only with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a CNG option as well. Like in the Victoris, the Brezza also gets underbody CNG tanks.

This engine comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic gearbox option only for the non-CNG variants. Powertrain specifications are as follows:

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza takes on the heat against the Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Kia Sonet and Syros, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
The Maruti Brezza in the compact sub-4-metre SUV space is among the most practical and no-nonsense options. The new update retains the same recipe but with significant updates like a 5-star safety rating, a more powerful engine, more features and a lower starting price. This truly helps spice up the competition against its rivals. The stylish new design is also welcoming and will be generally well accepted, like most Marutis have been. It also comes with the peace of mind and low cost of ownership the Maruti brand is associated with. The underbody CNG inclusion will also make the Brezza CNG a lot more practical.
However, will the option of the turbo engine make the Brezza an interesting proposition for you? Let us know in the comments.
