BMW 7 Series And i7 Facelift Pre-Bookings Open

BMW India has opened pre-bookings for the facelifted 7 Series and all-electric i7, bringing updated styling, new interiors and more powerful engines along with them.

BMW India has started taking pre-launch bookings for the updated 7 Series and its all-electric twin, the i7. This mid-cycle refresh for the luxury sedan comes just over three months after the car's global unveiling, and it touches almost everything — exterior, cabin, and powertrains — across both the petrol/diesel and electric versions.

Exterior

The facelifted 7 Series and i7 have a cleaner, more one-piece look to them now. The biggest change is up front, where a redesigned, illuminated kidney grille — BMW's calling it the "Iconic Glow" — grabs most of the attention. On either side sit new split headlamps with slim, minimalist crystal units, with thin daytime running lights positioned just above them.

Both bumpers have been redone as well. The flush door handles stick around, but there's now an embossed '7' on the B-pillar that only shows up when both doors on that side are open.

At the back, the tail-lamps are slimmer and run further into the boot lid, and the cars roll on new alloy wheel designs.

Interior 

Inside, it's all about cramming in more technology while still feeling like a proper luxury car. A big 17.9-inch touchscreen sits front and centre on the dashboard, next to its own 14.6-inch screen for the passenger. The driver now gets key info beamed onto the windscreen instead. In the back, the 31.3-inch 8K Theatre Screen for rear passengers hasn't gone anywhere. BMW's line is that the cabin mixes high-end materials with a digital-first feel for everyone on board, not just whoever's driving.

Features And Safety

All of this runs on BMW's latest Operating System X, which can be updated over the air. There's also some tech carried over from the Neue Klasse platform, aimed at making the car, driver and passengers talk to each other a bit better. What safety kit will actually make it to India-spec cars, though, hasn't been confirmed yet.

Expected Launch Date And Price 

You can book the refreshed 7 Series and i7 right now, either online or at a dealership. There's no official launch date just yet, but it shouldn't be too far off, given it's already been three-plus months since the car's global reveal. For reference, the current 7 Series starts at Rs 1.85 crore and the i7 at Rs 2.10 crore (ex-showroom); expect prices to nudge up a bit once the updated versions officially arrive.
