Royal Enfield showcased its newest ADV, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452, at EICMA 2023. This comes shortly after its India unveiling and specifications announcement, which took place last week.

Pre-bookings have also opened globally today, said Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan, adding that the bike will be available in Europe from early spring (around March-end) 2024. More importantly, he also mentioned that the bike will be available in India from November 24, 2023. This means that the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will most likely be launched (read: prices will be announced) in India during Rider Mania (now called Motoverse) 2023, which will take place in Goa.

The new Himalayan 452 is Royal Enfield’s first motorcycle that features a liquid-cooled engine and is a considerable leap over the Himalayan 411, both in terms of design and performance. The new Himalayan makes 40PS and 40Nm, or  14PS and 8Nm more than the Himalayan 411.

Royal Enfield has also released the details of the accessories that the new Himalayan will get, which comes in two themes – Adventure and Rally – both offering various different accessories that will help the buyer customise their bike according to their preference, which you can read all about here. The Himalayan 450 price is expected to be priced around the Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Its primary rival will be the KTM 390 Adventure spoke wheels variant, and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
