In a country where white cars are the most common, automakers have started to now offer dark editions providing buyers a more unique ownership experience and a cooler car to look at! Nissan joins the party with the Magnite Kuro Edition, a black-themed edition with blacked-out exterior and interior and minor feature updates over the N-Connecta variant that it is based on. Read on as we have covered all the details of the special edition.
Prices for the Kuro Edition range from Rs 8.31 lakh to Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom). Here is its powertrain-wise pricing:

Over the N-Connecta variant that it is based on, there is a price increment of Rs 34,000.
The Kuro Edition looks dapper to say the least with blacked-out elements that give it a unique appearance when compared to the standard Magnite. You get a special ‘KURO’ badge under the Magnite branding on the left fender. The front end comes with a blacked-out grille and skid plates finished in black.

You also get 16-inch black alloy wheels, gloss black roof rails to accentuate the SUV stance and black door handles. The rear end too gets a blacked-out skid plate, however, Kuro badging at the rear would have appreciated. Overall, the design elements are similar to the standard Magnite.
The Magnite gets a new Metallic Grey shade added to the colour options of the subcompact SUV.

The Magnite Kuro Edition welcomes you with a black-themed interior which looks sporty. You get piano black finishes on the steering wheel, gearshifter and door pads to add a premium feel inside the cabin. The special edition brings in wireless charger as standard, while a dashcam can be purchased as an accessory.

Other features remain the same as the N-Connecta variant. You get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 6-speaker Arkamys tuned sound system, auto-dimming IRVM, auto AC with rear vents, and keyless entry with push button start/stop.
In terms of safety, the made-in-India Magnite recently scored a perfect 5-star rating in the Global NCAP test. The top safety equipment includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ABS with EBD, ESC, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, hill start assist, rear wiper and defogger, and rear parking sensors.
The Magnite Kuro Edition is available with both, a 1-litre NA petrol engine and a 1-litre turbo-petrol unit. The former makes 72 PS and 96 Nm, while the latter generates 100 PS and up to 160 Nm. The NA petrol can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The more potent petrol engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

The Kuro Edition adds a bit of exclusivity to an SUV that’s not as popular as some other SUVs in the same segment. The Magnite offers a value-for-money package at the price it comes at, and the Kuro Edition helps in making the subcompact SUV slightly more desirable. The good thing is that it is available with all the engine options of the Magnite, which means that the buyer won’t have to make a compromise if they are interested in the Kuro Edition.
